Best of Barcelona & Madrid

Just returned from our second Rick Steve Tour in Barcelona and Madrid, and I have to say it was fabulous. The weather could not have been better, 70s and 80s during day and 60s at night. All sunshine, not even a hint of rain during our stay. Our main guide Davey (what a cheeky monkey) was fantastic, and the daily guides were great too. We had a celebrity, Frederico, for our Royal Palace tour in Madrid…and he was funny, full of stories, and. Rey present with the group and surroundings. Well versed in American pop culture also, inserting references in many stories.
Our group was awesome, too. We were able to personally interact and share stories at a meal with almost everyone in the group, such great people. It’s hard to say what my favorite part of tour was, certainly the Sagrada Familia visit and Park Guell would be up there. I was mislead a bit about the park from a pre-trip question. We only had a bit over an hour there, and I had been told we would get about 3 hours. It was such a cool spot though, even with the time we had. Our day trip to Toledo was great too, only wish is that we had a map of the old town area for use in our free time. It would have made it easier to maximize our free time.
I would highly recommend the tour, and can’t wait till our next adventure with another fun group of Rick Steve folks!
