Beautiful Switzerland on a 3 day Swiss Travel Pass

Took Easy Jet one way to Geneva from Amsterdam. I like how efficient they try to be. Landing in Geneva could be a great experience with a window seat on the left as you see the lake and the mountains and then the iconic Jet d'eau in the distance. At the airport there is a SBB office where I bought my 3 day Swiss Travel Pass 232CHF. One can do it in French, nice if spent years studying but losing it from lack of practice. The pass comes in plastic container with a map of all the lines and a legend of what is covered free and half price.
Caught the Golden Pass Line from Montreaux to Interlaken paid 12CHF supplement (This when you have a 2nd class STP) on top of 8CHF to reserve a seat in 1st. I noticed a lot of open seats in both classes, so it is not 100% necessary to reserve a specific seat in advance. I was not impressed by the entire Golden Pass route.
Went from Interlaken To Murren via Grutschalp; this route never gets old, always wow, whoa, to new and repeat travelers. Stayed 2 nights at Hotel Edelweiss Murren room 201 the single has a mountain view. I highly recommend this hotel, the hosts are most welcoming. From this base I covered a jaunt up to Kleine Scheindigg the first night, Zermatt and Bern (including Paul Klee museum free with STP) the 2nd, and on the 3rd a boat ride from Luzern to Vitznau to take the rail line up to Mount Rigi. From Rigi I continued to Arth Goldau where I caught the train to Lugano (not impressed) and then on to Milan one night where I am now writing this waiting at Milan Linate on the way to Dublin.
By the way there is a hassle free bus to Linate 5 euros from Milano Centrale

How was the weather in Murren? I will be there for four nights starting 22 May, before heading to Luzern. Can't wait. Enjoy Ireland.

We are in Mürren today and had beautiful weather for the trip up the Schilthorn. Followed the advice to take advantage of the first clear day, which we did. Also, went up first thing in the morning. Enjoyed the breakfast buffet at the Piz Gloria revolving restaurant. It’s pricy (35CF), but it’s a very nice buffet, and we made it last most of the day.

Jazz - I greatly enjoyed the photos, especially of Switzerland. It looks like there was still quite a bit of snow to be enjoyed so I found those pics particularly appealing. Thanks for sharing the details of your route and adventures. Have fun in Dublin and I hope you will share pics of the rest of your trip.
