Great hotel, boutique feel. Close to Las Ramblas, two metro stations, restaurants. On tree-lined boulevard. Hotel has parking/discounted. Roof-top bar (lovely at night) and small dip pool. Very modern/Euro feel. Helpful staff. Rooms are modern/clean/bright. Large bathrooms. Would eat breakfast elsewhere as it is a bit $$.

Thanks for the update. How big were their rooms and what was price per night?
Also, would you recommend this ok for families? (tweens)

We spent 5 days in Barcelona as part of at 2 week trip over DEc/Jan and rented an apartment through homeaway.com. The place was perfect, a block from Placa Catalunya and Las Ramblas yet very quiet. It had a nice terrace, REAL washer/dryer, full kitchen, etc. The entrance to the Metro was literally out the front door of the building (which had a very helpful concierge too). And, it was cheaper than a hotel room.
