I found pubs extremely expensive. 50 Euro for a fish and chip lunch for 3! One time paid $78 for 3 with 2 guiness. Too much for a simple lunch. Best bargain was in Dublin, 2 day on off tour bus for 16 euro. great buy and well worth it.

Unfortunately, restaurant food is expensive in Ireland. We usually bought sandwiches at a convenience store (many have a deli attached), or we filled up on breakfast at our B&B and skipped lunch all together.
