We are in Amboise France with my friend and 3 young adults. We are staying at the Hotel Bellvue which has lovely rooms. And when we added the 5th person to the original 4 they were happy to accommodate us easily. And I am happy to report that the rooms are plenty big. Pretty great for 180 euro. We have also dinned at Chez Bruno and it was te best dinner of the trip yet. A great value for an amazing dinner. About 20e each without wine. That was 4 starters, 5 entrees, and 4 desserts as well as coffee. Really tasty food and personable service. It is a small establishment so make reservation or go early. Just follow your nose.

Susan that sounds wonderful,, I was in Amboise once ,over 10 years ago and we thought it was really nice.. we stayed just outside Amboise but if I had to go back I would stay in town.

We stayed at Hotel Belle Vue in 2001 and it was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. Sounds like they have renovated since then?

I stayed at the Hotel Belle Vue in Amboise in 2006. Loved it! Very comfortable room; good breakfast; perfect location; lovely, courteous, and friendly staff.
