4 weeks Italy: Milan, Bellagio, Bologna, Florence (Part 2)

-lovely meals at Terrazza Burchetta (Bellagio), Ristorante Teresina, Ristorante La Traviata, Trattoria Anna Maria (Bologna); Cipolla Rossa, Quattro Leone (Florence); and a special thank you to the Eat Florence app from Elizabeth Minchilli and the book on eating in Italy by Fred Plotkin; -train travel continues to be easy and inexpensive (except for the strike part - see below!); Other issues: -the transportation strike on the day we were leaving Bellagio for Bologna; we hired a car and driver to Milan as we didn't want to lose hotel costs which would have been more expensive; allowed us to see the area from a different vantage point; -noticing a change in the food compared to our visit 4 years ago; quality not as good in some places we had been to before; wondering if some of the difficult economic times are starting to show up in this regard; -didn't get to as many of the day trips we had planned; travelling is tiring! plus when you want to go beyond the central tourist areas of towns and cities, there is much to see and fill the day with; Next visit: more time in Padova and exploring some of the other small towns of north Italy;
