10 days Venice, Florence and Rome

First time on a Rick Steves Tour. Apprehensive and excited, it turned out to be one of the wettest and at times hilarious places to be. Tour-Oct26-Nov4.
Tour guide and city hosts (Maria and Angelo in particular were the best in my opinion) were very well informed and courageous...particularly Tina Hiti. She was incredible in spite of the weather and we as the tourist group followed her like a puppy. Which in the end kept us safe and basically a happy (no grumps) group.
I know we all had a great time, though I am museum-ed out for a minute or two. Fantastic Orvieto wine experience and making lunch with and for the group with Fabrizio was one of the best times. And Caterina Balletti was unbelievable. Thank You.
P.S. The boots we all bought for the outrageous weather in Venice all failed the keep your feet dry test. (There are green ones that cost more and do the trick as we later found out).
Looking forward to another tour in 2019, weather permitting - only kidding!
PPS. For those traveling solo, like me, the rooms for the most part were very nice, though small sometimes. But it was an adventure.
Enjoy!!! Mike Dion

Mike, always great to read a positive trip report despite a few "hiccups" along the way. Your key word "adventure" says it all! "Expect the unexpected." Also, how fortunate to have veteran RS guide Tina to lead the way. Thanks for sharing!
