morgan will give you an unsolicted tip, if going between London and Paris best way is using the Eurostar, and the best way to get a good price is to book as far out as you can, I think they open bookings either 90-120 days out,, I actually count backwards from my date of travel and make sure to go on the website soon as bookings open for my date. Its city center to city center, so no costs getting to and from airports, a cost many forget to add in to their journeys. Also hostels, ( the decent ones) book up fast for june, so book those in advance too. Check out hostelworld for reviews. Some are great, so are not so great. Lastly don't over plan, two weeks is not a long time to explore two countries, and every time you move you spend money, so I personally would base a week in Paris and a week in London and plan a few fun daytrips out of the city on the trains.. Brighton and Bath are nice of London, Versailles and Giverny are nice for PAris but there are literally dozens of other good ones. Planning this far ahead is a good idea, just getting ideas and being able to map out a rough itinerary of what to see.
PS if no one goes with you I will add this, Paris is great for solo women travellers, and you do meet folks at the hostels. Good luck.

Thanks for the tip! I was looking into that way of transportation actually it seems the like the best bet. Do you have any hostels that you would recomend?
I was planning on doing a week in england and a week in France. I wanted to go to London, Wales, Bath, Manchester, and Brighton and in France I was thinking Paris and Nice. Thats nice to hear about the solo women travel thing. Im for sure going with or with out a travel buddy it would just be nice to have one! Im a bit nervous this being my first trip and all but thanks for the advice!!

Morgan, you can't go to all those places in UK in one week. Wales and Manchester are not daytrips. There is so much to see in London that if you do two daytrips you will only have 4 days in London , you can't really count your arrival or travel days as sighseeing days remember.. they are half days really. Getting to the train station to take the Eurostar, the trip itself 2.5 hours, then getting to hotel or hostel , checking in, theres 4 hours gone right there and I am assuming you won't want to take the 6 or 7 am trains, lol
Its been years since I hostelled, but a girl at work stayed at the St Christopher in Paris and liked it, but you do have to take metro to get into most sites from it, the Mije is a well reviewed hostel in Paris that has some more central location.. but don't take my workd on it, check out Hostellinng world website, and also go on the Lonely Planets Thorntree forum, I think you may find it has alot more folks in your age and budget range ( not that there aren't some here, but Rick Steves does seem to attract a slightly more mature moderate budget type , I am old , lol but remember being young, I would however refuse to share a bathroom now as I did in my 20s, lol
