VIENNA, SALZBURG, BUDAPEST -- seek middle aged or senior travel/dining companion

Would like to meet a travel/dining companion or two for a trip to Vienna, Salzburg, and Budapest in the first part of June. This would be a splendid vacation for someone who enjoys European civilization and charming dining experiences, who would like the freedom of traveling mostly independently but also have someone there to meet for a few selected meals and any sightseeing of mutual interest. Lodging would be separate. As I have been to Austria and Budapest before, I can provide guidance on flights, lodging, trains, sightseeing, etc. Being independent travel, there are many possibilities, including being there the entire time (June 1 to 13), part of it, or extending the trip for those with time (Germany, Prague, Istanbul).

This trio of Eastern European cities offers many vacation possibilities: just experience living in Europe; visiting beautiful palaces, museums, churches, and synagogues; seeing a range of charming European architecture and interiors; hearing classical music in settings that match; being outdoors in picturesque areas; bathing in the thermal springs in Budapest; or enjoying international cuisine, European cheese, and Viennese pastries.

Time in the city can be balanced with time outdoors. Vienna has the Vienna Woods, Salzburg its riverside walk, and Budapest its City Park with a romantic, 19th century castle. There is also the option a boat ride in the Wachau Valley from Vienna to Melk Abbey and its gardens.

I would like to meet people who are middle aged or active senior, who are very reliable and responsible, like me (male or female doesn't matter). I worked for university education for a long time and now work for local government. I do two overseas trips a year to Europe, Asia, or the Middle East. Besides travel, my interests include art and architecture, gardens, nature, classical music, food and wine. If you are interested or have questions, please don't hesitate to write.
