Venice/Florence/Tuscany/Sorrento/Rome in Sept.

I am a single, age 62, and have an Italian trip planned for some specific dates. Unfortunately the below start and finish dates cannot be changed. The number of nights in each location are changeable. Fly into Venice 9/13 (4 nights), 9/17- Florence (3 nights), 9/20 Siena Agritourismo with car (4 nights), 9/24 - Sorrento (3 nights), 9/27-Rome (4 nights). Return from Rome on 10/1. This is my first time to Italy, but I took a similar length trip by myself to Austria, Switz. and Germany last year. Most of the time I use rail, bus and boats except for a 4 day car rental to explore Tuscany from Siena. I use Rick's books/videos and podcasts to see sights.
I do a lot of walking and love to imerse myself with the local people I meet. Male or female of any age that would like to see these same places would make a wonderful companion.

Hi Doug, I am going to be in Rome from Sept 25 to the 28th. this is my starting point and it sounds like we are going to the same places. Maybe we can get together for a day in Rome and go see the vatican. Dont know what time you will be arriving in rome. I also use rick steves guide books and audio tours. I will have already seen everything else but the vatican and maybe we can do the night walk that evening. I am female 51 yrs old and have been to Hermiston twice. If anything we can get together and and you can give me a few pointers on the places you have already been. Hope to hear form you Darla

Can you tell me more about this trip plan? Like cost and types of places to stay. I just missed a 10 day trip to most of these places and stayed 3 weeks in Ireland due to illness of traveling companion. I am heart broken at missing Italy. I am single, 65, recently retired, not looking for romance, just travel companion.

I just noticed the Hermiston OR address. I'll be driving down that way on WA 395 next Tuesday, heading to OR coast. We could meet and have coffee, maybe? Just a thought.

One sure thing I planned was at least a day in Cinque Terra. I had planned 4 days in Florence and fewer days in Venice to allow time to Pisa and CT. I don't see CT on your list but possible with 3 days in Florence, if no holidays and museum closures!
