I will be in Venice from September 25-October 2 2013 solo, staying in an apartment in the Castello neighborhood, about 15 minutes' walk from Piazza San Marco. I am happy traveling on my own, but it would also be great to hook up with another solo traveler or a pair of travelers for dinner or lunch or a walk or whatever while I'm there. Am mid-60s divorced lady, from Santa Monica, CA, retired, youthful, casual type. Pretty fit, but wandering around the back streets of San Marco may be what I enjoy the most. Love trying new restaurants. Have been to Venice before in 2009 but only for 3 days. Feel like I'm throwing a message in a bottle here, but one never knows!
