You might want to check out the weather in whatever part of Italy you want to visit in August. It can get too darn hot for me in the lower 1/2 of that country. An easy way to check the weather is to go to RS Tours and pick one that covers the area you want to visit and then click on the weather report located in the lower right hand corner of the page.

Hey Im from the UK and I am planning to either get train or drive down through france and see the French Riviera..marsielle, st tropez, nice, Monaco, maybe over into northern Italy san reimo or Milan then back up to UK....
