Share room/avoid the single fee for Turkey this fall?

I'm looking at the "Best of Turkey in 13 days tour" for sometime this fall. I wondered if anybody ever shared rooms to avoid the single supplement fee? I'm 52, divorced, female and don't mind sharing with anyone of any age.

I have traveled alone, without issues, and I enjoy it too, but when booking a group tour, I want to avoid a singles tax if I can. I have stayed in hostels and shared rooms before without issue. Just looking to save a little money where I can, so I can keep traveling!

Pay the fee. Now it is a set $50 a day which is reasonable. You have invested so much already in your vacation, why risk an uncomfortable roommate situation?

PS. You will love Turkey.

Coming up in September, will be my 3rd trip on my own as a single (widow traveling with brother and SIL). I have also done a few trips to Italy and soon to France with my good friends. In the Fall, it’s to Turkey with bro and SIL also. All of us, everyone who travel as singles say that it is so worth the extra money to have your own space at the end of the day. I personally do not want to share a room at this time of my life, it’s so rewarding to have your own space to read, watch bad TV, cruise the internet and know that you are your own best company at the end of the day and it prepares you for the next days action. If you can afford it, go single.

You will love this tour. Husband and I took it in 2015. I travel with girlfriends once a year and last year one of them sawed wood all night for seven miserable nights. Ear plugs helped a bit but it was a miserable seven days.
