I am a veteran of several Rick Steve's tours and am currently planning for the June 6th Greece departure. Due to a sudden family situation, my original travel partner is no longer able to join me.
I am looking for a compatible female traveler to join me on the tour (and potentially share a room to avoid the single supplement) and then continue for an additional 1–2 weeks of independent travel.
A bit about me: I am Greek-American and I speak and read the language fairly fluently. My goal is always to have an authentic experience—focusing on history, architecture, local people, and traditional food rather than "touristy" spots.
My Travel Style:
Active & Adventurous: I am a very active walker and prefer exploring destinations on foot rather than taking taxis. I love hiking and discovering the hidden corners of a city.
Personality: I’m curious, outgoing, organized, and easygoing. I value local places to eat and stay rather than big hotel chains.
Since I speak the language, I love navigating the more local areas where English might not be the primary language.
Post-Tour Plans: After the RS tour ends, I am planning a 3-day trip to Meteora (approx. June 19–21). I plan to stay in a locally-run hotel in Kastraki or Kalambaka and hike the ancient monastery trails. Afterward, I’d like to visit one or two islands before heading home.
