My name is Tony and Im a senior male. I just moved to the Dallas area and few months ago. Im booked for Rick's Paris tour on Oct 5 thru Oct 11. From there, Im going on my own to Salzburg, Hallstadt, Bertesgarden, Rothenburg before returning from Framkfurt on 10/19. My travel partner just informed me that due to a family health issue that she will not be able to go on the trip. With only 4 weeks before the trip I have been unable to find anyone able to go. I don't know many people here as I recently moved so sort of in bind.
The tour, airfare, hotels after the tour are all paid for. So, I'm looking for preferably a senior female that might like a 16 day trip to Eurooe with expenses already paid. Only out of pocket would be personal expenses like gifts and souvenirs.
So if anyone is interested in talking to me or you know of someone who might be interested, send me a message. You or they must have an up to date passport

Have you talked to the tour office to see if you can switch from 2 folks coming to a single and get any credit or refund? Same with the airline you may be able to get a credit for the fare that won't be used. The cost of the hotels would probably be the same or close to what you have already paid. Or had you booked separate rooms for you and your female friend?

Have booked a single room with 2 beds in each hotel. Have email tour office with some info and also since tours of Paris are full for 26, asked if they might have any singles on waiting list for this yr.

I don't have experience with this but I have heard that airlines will at least refund the taxes of unused flights even if the flight was non refundable. Worth calling at least. I'd call before I used the chat thing because I have had to be insistent on other things (when they changed my itinerary to a very tight connection for example) and I don't think I would have gotten as good of results on a text chat.

That's too bad. If she booked with a US carrier, she can put the flight credit back into her account good for a year. Just check the fine print, sorry that didn't work out, hope you have a great trip!

Depending on the airline, if you paid for your travel partner's ticket, even if the airline gives you a credit it will be in the name of your travel partner (not you). Do you have travel insurance for your trip? This may be a qualifying event (or not, the details matter here).
Hopefully the RS office can at least convert you to a solo traveler for the tour portion of your itinerary. You may end up needing to pay the single supplement though.

This almost happened to me for my Oct. 8 tour. I found another friend to come in place of my travel partner. I’m sure you are a nice guy but I would not consider sharing a room with a stranger man. Did you book two rooms? If not, be open to sharing with a male solo traveler.
