We are on the NCL Cruise boarding in Rome on March 1st and are looking for others interested in doing some tours off the boat at a few ports of call. From past experiences, we have found it much less expensive to share transportation not booked thru the cruise line.

This is the wrong section for your request. This is more for finding someone to travel with. Your best bet for linking up with fellow cruise passengers is the Roll Call list for your ship and date on Cruise Critic. Just the people on your cruise will be on the roll call. Second you could post your question under the To The Boot section of this same area. More likely to get a positive response there.
We have taken four cruises out of Rome. You know the port is about an hour or a bit more from Rome via train.
