Madrid and Barcelona in March 7?

I am looking for someone who will be heading to or will be in Madrid, Spain on March 7 or Barcelona on March 11. I am backpacking; therefore will not be able to afford anything too fancy. I am planning to explore the city and visiting museums. Thank you,
