We are two couples who have booked a private, 8-passenger coach, from our hotel, in Rome, to a guided tour of Capua, then a guided tour of Pompeii. We will be picked up at the hotel at 7:30 AM, and will return to the hotel at 8:30 PM. The Mercedes coach, driver, and tour guides cost 800 Euros. Tips, lunch, and admission fees to the Capua gladiator arena (2.5 Euros), and Pompeii (15 Euros), are not included. We have to pay the driver the full amount of the trip (coach, driver, and tour guides), in cash, at the end of the day. Each additional passenger adds 25 Euros to the 800, but each person's share goes down dramatically. If only the four of us, who are already signed up, go, we will pay 200 Euros each. If another couple joins us, we will divide 850 Euros six ways, or 141.67 Euros each. If two couples join us, we divide 900 Euros eight ways, or 112.50 Euros each.
We will be on the "Best of Italy Tour," from April 20, through 29. We are looking for people (individuals, or couples, or up to four friends) who are also on that tour. Hopefully, we are all staying at the Hotel San Carlo, in Rome. In order to go on this day trip, you will have to miss the farewell breakfast, on April 29, book an extra night at the hotel, and arrange for flights home on April 30, unless you are already planning to stay over.
