I'm going to go to Europe for a few good months begging in mid May and I would like to go on a tour, mostly the Westerns countries. Renting a car and have fun, staying at budget places. Bea, if you are traveling "mostly the Western countries" "for a few good months", are you aware of the visa requirements which limit your travel to the Schengen countries (most of Western Europe) to a total of only a maximum of 90 days in any 180?

Nigel, Thank you. I am aware of that. I have dual citizenship, so when I get there I will apply for a EU passport.

Better to organize the passport before you go. There are still several restrictions on the movement of Romanians until the end of the year, and maybe after that.

My understanding is that with accession rules for EU there are special restrictions in the EU for most of the remainder of this year, and under negotiation as we speak, for Bulgarians and Romanians.

I doubt it that they can put any restrictions on me since I have dual citizenship. I mean, I hope not. :) If they do, I will come back to the states.
