Enjoy Sorrento! Make sure to have a meal or two at Ristorante Bagni Delfino, on the water down at the fishing marina. Amazing seafood and setting.

Lucky you! Sorrento is lovely, as is the whole area - Capri and the Amalfi Coast. We have found that sometimes in restaurants, the people sitting nearby our table are also looking to chat, and we have had great conversations. Once at a popular seafood restaurant in Lisbon, there were long tables that the diners shared. The family next to us were locals and they could not have been nicer or friendlier, even offering us to try their family style dishes before we placed our order. Most Italians we have met have great English, so I hope you will meet some while dining, and they can give you trip tips! Our friends are always chatting it up with the locals, and get invited to houses of worship, their homes, etc. That seems to be the Rick Steves method of travel. Enjoy your stay (and your wine)!
