I go to Paris & Italy every year, but it is hard finding a travel partner each year. I am running out of friends and family who can afford the trip. Been lucky so far, I've had good luck finding partners; however, I feel I better start looking in new places. If you are over 50, female and in good shape ( I am a straight female), perhaps we could meet for conversation for next trip (Seattle, WA).

I also enjoy going to Paris and Italy as often as possible. In fact I am hoping to be in Paris this April from approx. the 28th to the 2nd. and was thinking of then spending a few days in Rome. It will be a relatively short visit this year since I've had very little time to plan. I am in my 50's, female (straight), & love to walk everywhere. My interests are in architecture, art, & history.
I have done most of my traveling solo since my partner has not had the same schedule and now he has some mobility issues he needs to address first. I have really enjoyed meeting up with a friend in Europe who also comes from Seattle (I live in New Mexico) but, unfortunately, she cannot make the trip this year. I really enjoy my independence but absolutely love getting together for dinner, museums, day tours, etc.

I am just coming back from Rome. You'll love Rome! Be sure to stay close to the center. The public transit is not as extensive as paris.
Also more gypsies are in Rome, so keep close eye on your belongings.

I have exactly the same problem finding travel buddies. Lots of friends but....
I am fit (both physically and financially) and anxious to see more of France and Italy. Planning for a trip in Sept driving between the two countries. I live in Santa Cruz, CA (retired CPA) and have family in Olympia, WA so I could fly up and meet, unless you want some sunshine? Lets chat about "how" you like to travel. Sounds like you have an agenda to meet?

When are you traveling? I'm currently in Tuscany and would love to meet up. I've been in Italy since mid May and hiked through Tuscany for 8 days with a group of women. I'm ready to go again! Now! I'll be in Italy until the first week in August prior to heading back to the states. Let me know if you are interested and when you are traveling. It's getting down to the wire for me before it will be time to part this beautiful country.
