If you book a trip with Overseas Adventure Travel be wary of their cancellation/refund practices. They say you can cancel booked airfare 90 days out from a trip. I canceled tickets for both my son and me for a trip starting Oct. 1 -- six months out -- after finding an option that was both more convenient and less espensive. The cancelled tickets have a combined total of about $16,000. OAT is unbelievably slow in delivering the refund. I cancelled March 20. Today, April 7, still no credit to my Visa card. That's 19 days. Queries to the company informed me that they "comply with Massachusetts law" which gives them 30 days to refund. But why would they wait? Why do they feel justified holding my money? Be very very cautious with OAT.
