I’m planning on taking the 8 day Switzerlandhikingtrip Best of Via Alpina guided hiking tour in the Bernese Oberland this September and wanted to see if anyone here might be interested in joining.
Dates: September 5 /12
Region: Mürren, Wengen, Lauterbrunnen Valley
Activity level: Moderate day hikes (generally 5–7 miles, 1,000–2,000 ft gain)
Trip style: Small group, local guide, hotels (no huts), luggage transfers
Pace: Active but not rushed,
Cost: $4635 approx.
I’ve researched a lot of Switzerland itineraries, and this one seems to have the classic Bernese Oberland scenery without being extreme. (early 70's female in good shape) So far the trip only has 2 signups. I’m going regardless, but it would be fun to have a few others along. The group is 10 people max, and if we get more than 7 people we won't pay the 5% small group charge. I'm also up for sharing a room with a like minded female to save the solo supplement.
