Tulsa Area Travel Group Meeting, September 21, 2024

Finally, some weather relief! Well, high 80s are a relief to us, after weeks of triple digits or high 90s. So let's celebrate... how about getting together to talk travel? Always one of our favorite activities.

The next Tulsa Area Rick Steves Travel Group Meeting will be Saturday, September 21, at Panera Bread at 41st and Hudson in Tulsa (that's 5601 E. 41st, between Yale and Sheridan), at 9:30 a.m.

No special topic this month, just folks getting together to share stories and ask questions. A couple of people are asking advice about buying luggage; the rest of us just want to hang out together with folks whose eyes don't glaze over when we start talking about our most recent trip, or our next one.

As always, all travel related topics are open for discussion, and all comers are welcome. It's an open forum - come join in the fun. We want to hear your stories, answer your questions, see your photos and scrapbooks, and share your enthusiasm.

If you love to travel, or would like to travel, or are curious about travel, come join us. Anyone is welcome; you don't have to have been on a Rick Steves tour, or any tour at all. You'll recognize us by the RS books on the table, and the big smiles on our faces.

Someday Jane, I’m going to make the trek up from Ft Worth-Arlington area to meet you and your fellow travelers. You’re such a great source of travel information for me. I just reread your tr from your Eastern France tour back in 2019. I’m leaving Oct 3 for that tour.

And I quite agree, we’re having a welcome break in our weather here as well. I like summer but 100+ is ridiculous!

Lyndash, we'd love to have you! We had some folks from Kansas City drop in once, but none yet from Texas. I think I've told you my mother-in-law lived in Arlington, so we know the area - or rather, we used to. I'm sure we wouldn't recognize it now!

We've had folks from Kansas City drop in on a meeting, and we've gone to one in Missouri run by Forum poster mpaulinsettle. We love meeting new travel friends.

And you will have a wonderful time on the Eastern France tour. That one may be my favorite, although it's in a tight race with Village Italy. With South Italy coming from behind...
