Tulsa Area Travel Group Meeting September 17!

Welcome to September. And if you're from Northeast Oklahoma, welcome to our Tulsa Area Travel Group. We had our first meeting last month, and had a great time. So let's do it again!

We're meeting at Panera Bread at 41st and Hudson (that's 5601 E. 41st, between Yale and Sheridan) at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 17. Kim may be a little late, but Stan and I will be there, and I know Bill is planning on it as well. Anyone is welcome; you don't have to have been on a Rick Steves tour, or any tour at all.

If you love to travel, or would like to travel, or are curious about travel, come join us. You can recognize us by the RS books on the table, and the big smiles on our faces.

KIm, Bill wanted us to send a PM about our upcoming meeting; I think he mentioned that after you left last time. I'll PM him right now.

He said he doesn't spend as much time on the Forum as we do; I accused him of having an actual life. See you Saturday.

Hey gang, so sorry for the late response, but I have to work today so I won't be able to make the meeting. My wife and I are putting together a travel album from our previous trips so hopefully will get to show that to you all at some time. Have a great day and would love to hear about all that was discussed. Bill

Like I said, Bill has an actual life! Well, we'll miss him, but maybe they can make it October 15, and bring their travel album. Didn't he say last time that they went to Hungary?

Bill wanted me to post a report, since he couldn't come this month. We had four people this time. Kim talked a bit about signing up for the Barcelona-Madrid tour; Karen said she and her sister are hoping to book an Alaskan cruise next year. We also discussed packing light - can it really be done (Yes, of course!), and the effects of cramming too much stuff into a bag: zipper failure!

We also will probably have to move our October meeting to the 22nd, but I'll post a thread on that come October. And we're looking for more folks from Green Country to come to our meetings. But so far, we're pleased with the turnout. Thanks, all.

I never thought about bringing my scrapbook. I generally take too many pictures (lol). I have two full books of my RS Ireland trip. If you all have not been to Ireland, I can bring them next time.

It was lovely, place.

Jane..... I got my picture from my I phone moved to my dell computer. Now I have to deleted and review them, print them, and make my scrapbook!

See ya next month hopefully.

Wish I could find more people to come!

Kim

Kim, we'd love to see your scrapbook! Do bring it next time. And don't worry about more people - it'll happen. Several folks have posted on this topic, and have said it can take 4 or 5 months to establish a group. My only concern on that point is November and December are really busy for most people; that may set us back a bit. But no worries; it's all good.
