Tulsa Area Travel Group Meeting October 21 - Memorial Drive Location

October! Can you believe it? We're that much closer to our 2018 tours... And those of us who don't have a trip planned, well, we still enjoy talking, planning, and dreaming.

We'll be meeting Saturday, October 21 at Panera Bread at 91st and Memorial (at the shopping center on the northwest corner; that's 8922 S. Memorial) at 10:00 a.m. Our favorite Panera on 41st Street is planning to come back, but is still recovering from the August tornado. I drove by it the other day, and there's still a lot to do.

No special plans this month; we always enjoy getting together and sharing stories.

If you love to travel, or would like to travel, or are curious about travel, come join us. Anyone is welcome; you don't have to have been on a Rick Steves tour, or any tour at all. You'll recognize us by the RS books on the table, and the big smiles on our faces.

Okay, just heard from Jesse; she's planning on being at the meeting. Stan and I will be there; Kim is doubtful, but I'm hopeful she can make it. Don't know about Karen; when she comes it's usually with Kim.

We were referred to some friends of friends who love to travel, but they're all off traveling various places! I'll check back with them to see if they'll be back in time to join us. They've responded to our FB notice several months now, but don't stay home long enough to come join us.

And yes, I'm definitely envious.

Bill and Chris should be back from their cruise by now; I'll PM them to see if they can make it.

Anyone else? We always have a great time, and never run out of things to talk about. Come join us!

I've found 6 new people who want to come to our meeting! Unfortunately, 5 of them can't come. Two are on a cruise, one is working, one has to attend a required workshop, one has to wait for her landlord to fix something... and one might make it.

So anyone else in Green Country who's interested: at least three or four of us will be there at 10:00. Maybe more; I haven't heard from a couple of our semi-regulars. Come join the fun.

Welcome, new friend Dale! Boy, did we learn a lot about cruises, and we got some good tips on using credit cards and debit cards.

Kim should be back next month, and Dale will bring Patsy. Several other folks who couldn't make it today will try to be there as well.

So we're already looking forward to November 18!
