Tulsa Area Travel Group Meeting October 20

October in Oklahoma! Cool evenings, warm days, and the time is flying by. Speaking of flying...

Our next travel group meeting will be Saturday, October 20, at Panera Bread at 41st and Hudson (that's 5601 E. 41st, between Yale and Sheridan), at 10:00 a.m.

No special plans this month, just enjoying sharing our travel tips and stories. Kim is well on the road to recovery, and will join us. Tami has to work, but Jesse promised to make it this time. I'll bring the new tour catalog, and I'm still agonizing over how to wrap up our trip after our Eastern France tour next year; I'll be glad of advice from anyone who shows up. And Kim is looking for tips about things to do before her Best of London tour. Maybe Karen will bring some of her glass projects? (I know, they're not travel related, but they are trés cool.)

If you love to travel, or would like to travel, or are curious about travel, come join us. Anyone is welcome; you don't have to have been on a Rick Steves tour, or any tour at all. You'll recognize us by the RS books on the table, and the big smiles on our faces.

We'll be there. I'm really looking forward to this. I enjoy our meetings so much - the joy of travel without the expense. Well, except for the $4 caffé latte :-)

Hi All—This is Gretchen. Husband Mark and I got back a couple weeks ago from the RS Best of Italy Tour. A new friend from that group wrote me yesterday to tell about your travel group. Wouldn’t you know—You had met just the day before! We would be interested in learning more about your group, and sharing insights about travel. Do you meet monthly at a certain time? Is it always Panera on 41st
St? I’ll check back to see your responses.

Gretchen, we always meet the third Saturday of the month at the Panera on 41st. We had to juggle for a few months after the freak August tornado a couple (?) of years ago took out that shopping center, but we're back to our favorite place.

I'm going to PM you with some more information, but we'd be delighted to meet you at our next meeting, November 17. And welcome aboard!

Thanks van for telling Gretchen about our group. We have fun. Like Jane said. It’s the 3rd Saturday of every month.

You will love Gretchen. Her whole face lights up when she talks about the next thing to see! I am glad I could be a bridge.

Thanks, vandrabrud! Kim explained the connection to me. Gretchen sound delightful, and we'll be looking forward to meeting her.
