Tulsa Area Travel Group Meeting November 18 - Memorial Drive Location

It's November! We've had our first freeze of the year, and now temps are back up into the 80s. Gotta love Oklahoma.

And we all love traveling, right? At our house we're reading guidebooks, gathering phrase books, and rereading trip notes to see what we missed last time - and what we want to see again. If you're longing for travel, come join our RS Travel Group Meeting this month.

We'll be meeting Saturday, November 18 at Panera Bread at 91st and Memorial (at the shopping center on the northwest corner; that's 8922 S. Memorial) at 10:00 a.m. Our favorite Panera on 41st Street is planning to come back, but is still recovering from the August tornado.

Kim should be back this month; I intend to pick her brain about things to do and see in the Netherlands. We're hoping new friend Dale comes back and brings Patsy; we learned a lot from him in October. Anyone else interested?

If you love to travel, or would like to travel, or are curious about travel, come join us. Anyone is welcome; you don't have to have been on a Rick Steves tour, or any tour at all. You'll recognize us by the RS books on the table, and the big smiles on our faces.

Boy.... I am ready for some travel talk!! Whose counting down the weeks til the Two RS tours!! Me!! Only 24 more weeks. Hooray!. Think I am driving my co-workers crazy about my trip.

I will be there!! Missed seeing y'all last month, but had a good time with girlfriends in Texas and yes, I did talk about RS tours to them.

159 days for us!

I just tagged a bunch of folks on FB who have expressed an interest in our group. Hope some of them can make it! It'll be great to have Kim back; we missed her last month.

Just bumping up our notice.

Funny, though: it occurred to me the other day that although we've had a decent response to our Tulsa Area Travel Group, we have had not one person from Tulsa! Broken Arrow, Owasso, Sand Springs, Sapulpa... and I have a friend who's trying to make it to a meeting who comes from Bristow, a good 35 or 40 miles away.

So step up, Tulsa! Come join us this Saturday. We guarantee a good time.

So excited to come this weekend, since I missed last month. Well, I keep telling people about our travel "support" group, but seems like they already have plans made for that day and then forget about it the following months. I did have a friend who came into my shop I work at this week. She is tied up this month and Dec, but tells me that she will come in January and plus a friend who will be here.

Got My $200 worth of travel stuff today and I will bring Rick's goodie bag ... did I say "free".... well yes, our travel credit for the two trips in 2018.

We ordered our $100 worth earlier this week; probably won't have the goodies by Saturday, though. If we do, I'll bring them.

Edit to add: I just checked, and our stuff is supposed to be delivered Monday, too late for the meeting. But I'll bring your Amsterdam book back, since we ordered a new one.

I just read in today's paper that our 41st St Panera will be opening in about 10 days! Woo-hoo! Too late for us this month, but we'll start meeting there again next month.
