Tulsa Area Travel Group Meeting June 20 Venue Change! Please read post downthread.

Okay, folks, we're going to give it a try.

Our next travel group meeting will be Saturday, June 20, at Panera Bread at 41st and Hudson (that's 5601 E. 41st, between Yale and Sheridan), at 10:00 a.m. Unfortunately, Kim has a family function, so she won't be there. But Stan and I will come, and we'll be glad to see anyone who cares to come. Of course we will understand if folks are not comfortable gathering yet.

As always, all topics are open for discussion, and all comers are welcome. It's an open forum - come join in the fun.

If you love to travel, or would like to travel, or are curious about travel, come join us. Anyone is welcome; you don't have to have been on a Rick Steves tour, or any tour at all. You'll recognize us by the RS books on the table, and the big smiles on our faces.

JUNE 20 MEETING VENUE CHANGE!

Given the recent uptick in Covid-19 cases in Tulsa, we've decided to hold our meeting at LaFortune Park. If you feel comfortable coming, we'd love to see you. If you are not comfortable coming. then stay home and we'll try again in July. We totally understand.

Stan and I will be there by 10:00, and will stay at least an hour. If anyone else shows up, we can stay longer. Kim has a family function in OKC, and will not be able to join us.

Enter the park through the Garden Entrance, off 51st Street. That's just a little east of Tandy YMCA, and directly across the street from a strip mall with a big sign saying "5525 S. Park Place." Head into the park on the Garden Road; it meanders a bit. Just about the time the road turns east, you'll spy a shelter. If you continue around the curve into the parking lot, you'll see a picnic table just to the west.

We will grab the picnic table if we can; otherwise, we'll be at the shelter. The shelter does not have any tables or benches, so bring lawn chairs or folding chairs, and anything you want to eat or drink. Think of it as camping out with your travel group buddies! 10:00 Saturday morning.

If anyone has a better idea by noon Friday, let me know. Anyone thinking of coming, check back here or our Facebook page, Rick Steves Tulsa Area Travel Group, for updates.

Karen says she can come, so we'll have at least three. Anyone else who wants to brave the mess (the president is coming to Tulsa that day, but later in the day and in a completely different part of town) is welcome to join us.
