Tulsa Area Travel Group Meeting June 17

June is bustin' out all over, and the weather is finally warming up. Some of us are glad about that....

Our next travel group meeting will be Saturday, June 17. We're meeting at Panera Bread at 41st and Hudson (that's 5601 E. 41st, between Yale and Sheridan) at 10:00 a.m.

We're going to be a bit shorthanded this month: Kim will be in Spain, and Jesse will be in Yellowstone! So we need some of you other folks to drop by. Stan and I are getting ready for our trip to Italy, and we'd love to talk to other folks who have been there. Or would like to go. We'll be at Panera about 10:00, but we'll have to leave by 11:40 or so.

If you love to travel, or would like to travel, or are curious about travel, come join us. Anyone is welcome; you don't have to have been on a Rick Steves tour, or any tour at all. You'll recognize us by the RS books on the table, and the big smiles on our faces.

Bump.

We've had several folks who have shown an interest in our Tulsa Area Travel Group, but haven't yet managed to make it to a meeting. Well, here's your chance! Come join us this Saturday morning at Panera on 41st. We'll be there about 10:00. And we have trip updates from Kim, who's on the RS Barcelona/Madrid tour right now! And having a wonderful time.

See you Saturday!

Hi all. 10:00 pm ish here in Madrid and in hotel room drinking a glass of wine. Perusing RS forum to see if I missed anything. Tomorrow we head off to Toledo and back to Madrid for our final dinner together. Boy, am I getting tired. Been here over in Europe since May 29th. Guess I am ready to leave back to the states on Sunday. It had been really hot. They said it was unusual to be this warm so soon. I think I liked Barcelona the best so far. Maybe because we were there 2 1/2 days before the tour started and got familiar with the city more than Madrid. Food has been so great. Tapas, tapas and more tapas. Oh and the wine and sangria!!

Have a great time Jane and Stan in Italy. Oh.... david and I hiked around park guell with Ellen and Susan.

Thanks for the update, Kim. We've been wondering what you were up to. Stan prefers Barcelona, as well. I still favor Madrid, but I love everyplace we've ever been in Spain.

Have a safe trip home. We'll see you in August, I guess.

By the way, it's been hot here too. I passed a thermometer on Brookside today that said 100. I've been following along with the Madrid weather: What's the saying? 9 months of winter, and 3 months of hell! (It rhymes in Spanish.)
