Tulsa Area Travel Group Meeting July 21

It's July! Fireworks, picnics, ball games, and ... travel talk! When is it not a good time to talk travel?

Our next travel group meeting will be Saturday, July 21, at Panera Bread at 41st and Hudson (that's 5601 E. 41st, between Yale and Sheridan), at 10:00 a.m. That's just two days after the 2019 Rick Steves tours are to be announced, so you can guess what we'll be talking about!

And since Jesse had to miss our last meeting, she has asked Kim to bring her Scotland scrapbook again; that alone is worth the drive.

If you love to travel, or would like to travel, or are curious about travel, come join us. Anyone is welcome; you don't have to have been on a Rick Steves tour, or any tour at all. You'll recognize us by the RS books on the table, and the big smiles on our faces.

Bump.

Kim and I are both ridiculously excited about the 2019 tours, and are going to try to coordinate our upcoming trips. That'll be part of what we're doing at our meeting; come help us figure out the logistics!

Edit to add: this is the great thing about travel groups - and this Forum. People don't assume we're crazy. When I was beginning to doubt my sanity, furtively checking the Rick Steves site every day - every day! - to see if the 2019 trips had been announced, I emailed Kim. "You're not alone!" she assured me. And looking at some recent posts here, I am reassured. I may be obsessed, but I'm not crazy.

Join a travel group. And if you're in Northeast Oklahoma, come join us July 21. We promise not to roll our eyes or glaze over when you start gushing about your travel dreams.

Yes Jane.. I am obsessed. I have been looking everyday since part of the 2009 tours came out. I even looked at my 2017 France scrapbook tonight. I have been busy all work working at my trip savings job. It is our annual cross stitch event. We have 170 ladies from all over the us here. Lots are my travel companions from the 2017 and 2015 river cruises. I went to dinner with two of them tonight. Discussing how obessed I was about travel. Is their a name or medicine for this illness? Lol. Told them I am more obsessed with traveling than my cross stitch. Taking my France scrapbook tomorrow to show it to a few of those ladies. I even talked so much about RS tours to one of them and she and hubs are going on the 7 day London in a couple of weeks. Same tour I am going next year. She loved my RS Scotland scrapbook. Told her we have s travel group. So she wants to know if there is a Kansas City group!

What fun today! In addition to a number of regulars, we had someone new - Janet, who drove all the way from Kansas City (!) to join our group. She had a great time, as did we all.

Come join us August 18; we can't promise visitors from far away, but we can promise you a good time with good company.
