Tulsa Area Travel Group Meeting January 19

Happy New Year to all! And what can be a better way to celebrate than sharing our travel stories, questions, dreams, and wishes.

Our next travel group meeting will be Saturday, January 19, at Panera Bread at 41st and Hudson (that's 5601 E. 41st, between Yale and Sheridan), at 10:00 a.m.

I suspect we'll be talking about France and London, since several of us (6, including spouses) are going to France in 2019, and Kim just got the new RS London book for Christmas. And Santa brought me a new Samsung tablet, so I will welcome tips on using it, as well as useful travel apps. And I need to catch up on our group's news, since a family medical emergency kept me from last month's meeting. (All is well now.) But all topics are open for discussion, and all comers are welcome.

If you love to travel, or would like to travel, or are curious about travel, come join us. Anyone is welcome; you don't have to have been on a Rick Steves tour, or any tour at all. You'll recognize us by the RS books on the table, and the big smiles on our faces.

I'm bumping us up. Okies, don't despair about the weather forecast for this weekend. It looks grim, and typically Oklahoman: high Friday of 65 - that sounds good, right? High Saturday? Meeting day? 34. With a low of 8. EIGHT! That's -13 C, for the rest of the world.

But come on out. Panera has coffee drinks and cocoa. And our lively discussions will warm you up.

Now, about the Women's March the same day...

Well, four of us braved the cold. Luckily, the forecast sleet and snow didn't make it to our area. We're hoping for milder temps for our February 16 meeting.
