Tulsa Area Travel Group Meeting December 15

December is finally upon us. I say "finally," but it seems to me the year has been flashing by. Time to slow down and enjoy travel talk with friends new and old.

Our next travel group meeting will be Saturday, December 15, at Panera Bread at 41st and Hudson (that's 5601 E. 41st, between Yale and Sheridan), at 10:00 a.m.

I suspect we'll be talking about France, since several of us (6!) are going to France in 2019, but we have no program planned. Kim and I did our packing demonstrations at our November meeting, and will probably do them again before we all leave for Europe in the spring. So any topic is on the table. Come with your questions, experiences, or stories.

If you love to travel, or would like to travel, or are curious about travel, come join us. Anyone is welcome; you don't have to have been on a Rick Steves tour, or any tour at all. You'll recognize us by the RS books on the table, and the big smiles on our faces.

I'm bumping us up, since I have a bit more information.

Anyone in the Northeast Oklahoma region: there is going to be beautiful weather this weekend, and if anyone is planning on going to the rescheduled Tulsa Christmas parade, you might think about coming to join us first. We usually knock off around noon - some folks always leave sooner - and the Christmas parade is downtown at 1:00. Plenty of time to grab some lunch and head off to the parade route.

Stan and I will be at the meeting, and so will Kim. Jesse is going to try to make it this month, and so is Eileen. Karen usually comes, as well. We haven't seen Jesse or Eileen in a while, so we're looking forward to catching up. At least four of us who will be at the meeting are joining a RS tour in May, so we can share notes about our plans and pre-arrangements.

Anyone with an interest in travel is welcome; don't think you won't fit in. We welcome all comers! See you Saturday?

Well, rats. As luck would have it, Stan and I missed the meeting. We had a family medical emergency - everything's okay now, but it was a scary morning.

But we'll be there next month, January 19. I'll post the meeting as soon as January gets here.
