Jeepers, it's already April? And Easter is this weekend? Time is just flying by this year.
And, speaking of flying (lol,) it's about time for our next travel group!
The next Tulsa Area Rick Steves Travel Group Meeting will be Saturday April 18, at the Panera Bread at 41st and Hudson in Tulsa (that's 5601 E. 41st, between Yale and Sheridan), at 9:30 a.m.
Several of us have trips planned later this spring, and we're counting down the days. In fact, that might make a good discussion topic (not that we ever run out of things to talk about!) But a recent thread on the Forum section of RickSteves.com was called "Trip Prep One Month Out," with folks ranging from having packed bags by the front door a week ahead of time, to those who pack just before leaving for the airport!
As usual, we're looking for a great exchange of stories, tips, and questions. We want to hear your stories, answer your questions (and ask our own!), see your photos and scrapbooks, and share your enthusiasm. As always, all travel related topics are open for discussion, and all comers are welcome. It's an open forum - come join in the fun.
I know I always mention that you don't have to have been on a Rick Steves tour to join us, but I'd like to emphasize that. Chatting with a friend recently, I realized that he (and doubtless others) thought that all we talked about was Rick Steves tours. Not even close! In fact, of the 10 or 12 people who come to our meetings most often, only 3 of us have taken any of Rick's tours! So please feel free to pop in the morning of the 18th, regardless of your travel background. Or lack of it.
If you love to travel, or would like to travel, or are curious about travel, come join us. Anyone is welcome; you don't have to have been on a Rick Steves tour, or any tour at all. You'll recognize us by the RS books on the table, and the big smiles on our faces.
