Oooooh, oooh! I have a travel question! Trains are expected to be on strike on the 19 May in France so how do I get to Paris from Aix en Provence? I have a tentative solution but I really don't like it. What would you do?

I would have your friends at home e-mail you strike updates incessantly then go light some candles in those Italian churches and pray the strike is called off!

Actually, Pam, I do have the most wonderful friend ever who has been sending me updates and links...(she's a true LifeSaver!) I was wonderingering if anyone might have a better suggestion other than renting a car and driving 8 or so hours possibly in bumper-to-bumper traffic? Where's Samatha when you need her!

I would like to say that I had not just one, but two meetings in May with Darcy. We saw each other in Venice on the day she arrived and I was leaving. We compared schedules and discovered we would be in Siena at the same time. It was great seeing you Darcy!
