St Louis Travel Group April 17

Karen, glad to see you back.. Our Tulsa group is also going to try it again in April. I haven't posted it yet, but I will tomorrow. And yes, we're also meeting outdoors. We met much of last year, but it was hard to work up much enthusiasm when it was cold and blustery, and when there was no travel to talk about!

Thanks, Jane. Glad you are meeting again this month too! We stopped last October for the same weather reason. Hopefully we are edging closer to having trips to talk about again.

Margaret, you're probably closer to us than to St Louis! One of these months, pop in to visit. I usually post meetings the first of the month. Not this month, though; I don't want to poach a participant from Karen's group. Well, not this soon...

I would love to come to visit with you Jane one of these months. Perhaps this summer. Do you meet on Saturdays?

Yes, Margaret, we meet the third Saturday of the month, at 10:00. You're about 90 miles from us; if 10:00 is too hard to make, let us know you're coming, and we can make accommodation for you. We generally stay about an hour and a half to two hours; it varies.

We actually had a person join us from Kansas City once! But only once. :-)

We pulled ours off, but golly it was cold. 50 degrees, tops, and a cold wind out of the north. But we did it! It was great to see our friends again; next month should be warmer. Of course, today should have been warmer...

I’m glad yours went off well too, Jane! It was great to meet again, and to have visitors from out of town! It was cold, too, and cloudy. We sat around with blankets on. :D
We will meet again in the park on May 8. Hopefully it will be warmer!

Our meeting was sunny and quite warm. As the summer goes on it will only get hotter. Maybe the group won’t mind if we meet at 9:00 instead of 10:00 in the future. I suspect that will be a no though. I’m glad your meeting went well.

Karen, I wore long johns under my sweat pants, had two sweaters on under my rain jacket, wore a wool knit hat, and was still cold. Next month should be plenty warm, though.
