Join us on Saturday, December 10th... to talk about travel! We enjoy sharing stories and talking about our past or upcoming trips with fellow travelers...

We meet every 2nd Saturday of the month starting at 12:00 pm. You don't have to be there at 12:00, anytime between 12:00-1:30 is fine.

Location:
Marin Brewing Company
1809 Larkspur Landing Circle, Larkspur (Marin County) - Close to the Richmond/San Rafael Bridge

Come and look for us inside Marin Brewing... there will be a RS book on the table.

Hope to see you!

See you noonish on Saturday. Still working on the March trip (two empty weeks between Budapest and Munich) AND completely open for May in Italy so all suggestions welcomed.

Let's hope for more airfare sales!

We'll be in the east Bay Area on Saturday and if there are no family activities we'll try to come at noon! We have a June trip scheduled for Ireland, our first time in Ireland outside of Dublin.

My wife and I are looking forward to joining the group this weekend. We are planning our first Rick Steve's trip this summer. We are taking the Villages of Italy tour in mid May. So looking forward to meeting other folks. We are also Guide Dog Puppy raisers and are attending a Guide Dogs for the Blind graduation for one of our club puppies.

See you Saturday.

Mark, it will be great to meet you and your wife.
I took the Village Italy tour about 10 years ago, and it was terrific!
Bring your questions and any good ideas for the rest of us planing other trips ...
See you Saturday.

Hi All, it looks like it may be raining this Saturday -- and we will not be able to sit outside at the restaurant -- so look for us inside.
See you there!

Still hoping to come Saturday. I had Dave check driving times this AM (Friday at 8am, prime commuting time) and he got an ETA of 2h for the 14 miles that it is from our son's house to the Marin meeting place! Yikes! Any regulars know the usual driving time without accidents for weekends, mid day. Coming from the east bay.

Hi Mona --
It's Berkeley/Albany, right?
Saturday late morning is usually about 30-45 minutes, occasionally longer if there is an accident or very heavy traffic.
Because of the rain, there won't be beach traffic ... ;-)
It will go faster if you have a Fastrack. Can you borrow from the family?
Hope to see you!

Thanks for the info. We have our own Fastrak because of a bad Bay Bridge experience a couple of years ago. Car #1 and car # 2 (us) arrived at our daughter in law's family dinner 30 minutes apart...Yes we are coming from Albany. I too thought how many people would be wanting to go the marina area on such a potentially rainy Saturday. We'll check our apps before we head out. We were also trying to figure out if we could drive a granddaughter and her bass to a lesson in Berkeley before we head to Marin. We'll get it all done I hope.

We do the drive to San Rafael once or twice a month. We are coming from the Tri-Valley area between Walnut Creek and Pleasanton. It usually takes us 45 minutes to an hour. Recently we have been taking 680 to Hwy 4 then on to 80 and across the Richmond Parkway which puts on 580 just before the bridge. If you can get on 580 at the Gilman Street on ramp you may save your self some time. The Toll plaza is slow but the left 2 lanes are fast track which does help get you on the bridge. Good luck and looking forward to meeting everyone.

Mona, it's okay if you are a little later to arrive.
We'll be there until at least 3pm, probably longer.

We will be at a table inside the restaurant, since it's likely to be a rainy day. Look for a couple of Rick Steves guidebooks on the table.
Drive safely everyone!
