so no jet lag then? Will you be in Denver?

We will be in a hotel near Frankfurt so the meeting will be a little late for us. Looking forward to it tho. Yes please!

It was fun, Andrea!

June is a “possibly but unlikely but won’t know till the last minute” for me. July is a definite not. September I has potential. :)

Does someone have past or upcoming travels to share? It may be better to wait if I'm the only one! I know TexasTravelmom has stories from several trips, but she's not sure if she'll make it.

if the 5am joke is past and normal programming resumed, I can relate a story from today about a visit to a German hospital. Also about the SHUM cities.

Oh yes, I may be awake at 5am, but I won't do that to anyone else!

A story for the meeting, yes please!

Hi CW. I'm really looking forward to hearing about your Bulgaria experiences! Here's hoping the flight(s) home go relatively smoothly and that you aren't too groggy to share them. Looks like there will be plenty of backup travel tales support as well.

Thank you!

Hi all, I have to cancel tomorrow's meeting.

My flight from Munich was delayed for hours, due to weather in Denver. Ironically, then, Denver customs closed before our late arrival so we diverted to Chicago. At which time a TSA shift promptly went off duty, so now there are 100+ people waiting in 1 customs and security line. Our new boarding time has come and gone so we'll see how long we sit here.

Jams are fun??? Oh yes, loads of fun. 🤣🤣

oh no! sorry to hear about this kerfuffle. Hope you get home safely and enjoy some restful sleep!

Thanks! We're still on the ground in our unplanned stop of Chicago waiting for passengers to reboard.

Do you suppose they stopped for a bite to eat??? 😉

You could tell them a thing or two about a brat and a beer.

Looking forward to our next opportunity to share some stories!

Oh, no! Since we couldn’t make the Zoom meeting this is the first time I have checked in. What a disaster!! I hope you are able to get even a little rest at the airport and that the rest of your trip is uneventful. Safe travels!

I made it to Denver!! At 308am. I tried to sneak in quietly past Farrah, but she had to announce the intruder.

One week here and then home. Do it all again in August!

I’m glad that you made it to Denver but what a detour! Maybe you will merit some compensation, at least from insurance or as a credit card perk. 🤞

Sorry, I had to cancel today's call when my return trip yesterday went upside down. We will pick up in person and online per the Previews schedule, above.

The airline was giving lunch vouchers at the delayed flight gate in Munich, but I didn't discover that until I'd bought my own lunch.

Since it was all related to weather in Denver, the airlines probably don't owe much more. And I didn't hit the 12 hour delay threshold for my credit card.

I didn't occur any other expenses, so I'm really only out a few hours of sleep. I feel bad for the couple who missed their separately ticketed Southwest flight from Denver.

Interesting lesson for me: I was in an extra legroom seat because I'm Premier on United. Thank heavens for that small comfort! I usually won't consider paying for a further upgrade on the return flight. I'll think harder about that for next time!!

Glad you made it home; your parents' home anyway. It may take you all week to recuperate! Rest up!

I'm here at Brioche de Paris in Walnut Creek. They lost their front patio space, though there's some talk of a vote to bring them back.

Not to confuse, though, tomorrow we're at The Veranda, near the big fountain.

I plan to be there but will probably be late due to an 11:45 appointment. I will message you if really late.
