SF Area Travel Group Today

We'd love to have you join us today, Saturday, September 10th, to talk about travel!

It's a fun way to meet people, to share stories, to share info and to talk about your past or upcoming trip.

We meet every 2nd Saturday of the month, 12:00 pm at:
Marin Brewing Company
1809 Larkspur Landing Circle, Larkspur (Marin County)

Come in and look for us outside on the patio... there will be a RS book on the table.

We will think of you from Paris, and perhaps lift a glass of vin ordinaire.

According to Google, that's 72 miles away - in city traffic!
Is there a South Bay Group?

Have a super fun time Lauri and Ed... and do lift a glass of vin! Or two, or three, or...

Cindy, yeah San Jose is a bit far. No, no other travel groups in your area. If you feel like a road trip, we'd enjoy having you.

I'm planning to come but will likely be a bit late.
I'll check in later this week with a better time estimate.

Just got our boarding passes for tomorrow!! Bags are packed (overpacked, as usual) and we're trying to eat up perishables (or pack them for tomorrow's lunch at the airport.)
See you next month!!

Cindy, we'd be happy to have you join us for our meeting this Saturday. You don't need to come up the peninsula and deal with SF city traffic. You could come up 880, cut over to 580 via 238, and come north (maybe designated West?) on 580 over the Richmond-San Rafael bridge. Sometimes there is a big back-up at the bridge, but you might get lucky! The earlier the better, so maybe bring a friend and have brunch in Mill Valley or Larkspur.
Or come north on BART from Fremont and maybe one of us could pick you up at North Berkeley BART.
If you liked the format of a meeting such as ours, we could talk to you at length on how to get one going in your own area.

Thank you all for the kind invitation. I hope you understand when I say I don't want to travel for 3 hours (140 mile rt) on a route that has tolls. I don't have a transponder (don't need one in South Bay). I'm way down in Almaden so even Fremont Bart is a good 40 minute drive.
In short, the hassle factor is very very high for a 2 hour meeting. Even if it is with great people!

I have attended at least a half dozen Bay Area meetings. I come from Roseville, which is past Sacramento. I personally find it well worth my trip when I have the time. We have people from the Bay Area group attend our Sacramento meetings. Especially Lauri and Ed. They are regulars. I take advantage of every opportunity I get to spend time with people who love to travel as I do. I would come to the meeting this meeting Saturday, but I'm dog sitting. Maybe next month!

Andrea -- we'll be sitting on the patio --- bring the dog!

I have brought my dog, but my dilemma is I'm dog sitting for a friend. I have to go twice a day to feed her. Maybe next month. Sharyn, what day do you leave next month?

Sharyn, as far as being late, better late than never!

I'm looking forward to seeing you and Betty!

Andrea, we'll miss you as always when you're not here... or we're not there!
Happy dog sitting!

I plan on coming but must leave by 1pm or so. I have to be in Campbell later that afternoon.

We're thinking of going to Germany next year and I have lots of questions.

Bon Voyage Ed and Lauri!

I am definitely coming to our meeting but probably won't arrive until 1 or 1:30.
Sorry to have to be late, but better late than not at all!
Looking forward to seeing you all ...

If you missed it, come join us next month!
