San Francisco Bay Area Travel Group Meeting

We'd love to have you join us today, Saturday, November 14th, to talk about travel! We always have fun and it's a great way to meet others to share stories, info and to talk about your past and/or upcoming trip.

We meet every 2nd Saturday of the month, 12:00 Noon, at:
Marin Brewing Company
1809 Larkspur Landing Circle, Larkspur. Locals call this area "Larkspur Landing")
Marin Brewing Company is located in a shopping center called "Marin Country Mart" on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. It's directly across from the Larkspur ferry terminal.

When coming from the Richmond/San Rafael bridge take the 2nd freeway exit that says "Sir Francis Drake Blvd" and just stay on that road.
If coming from SF or from the north on 101, take the "Sir Francis Drake Blvd" exit and go east, the shopping center will be on your left.

Come in and look for us inside or outside on their patio... there will be a RS book on the table.

If you can't be there at 12:00 it's ok, we're usually there for 2-3 hrs, so come on by... even if late!

Susan, that vintage Italy book would be ... interesting. ; -) Prices still in lira ??
We have the ripped-apart 2012 we used for Rome, Sorrento, Florence and Venice (all by trains) but looking for new places, possibly with a car.

I'll be there.
(Save me a parking place close in!)
And I may be bringing my friend Theresa who just returned from 7 weeks in Italy traveling for the most part by herself.
She would be a great resource for Ed and Lauri, and Jeff, too, I think!

I live in the South Bay and while I would love to join you guys, the drive is just a bit too time consuming. I am wondering if it would be okay to start another group that meets in the South Bay, which I think would work well for folks living in South Bay as well as Mid Peninsula area. I am checking in to see if there is any interest?

quanmama, good idea to start a group where you are. It's a lot of fun gettting together with people who love to travel!
You might want to start a thread asking if others in your area would be interested.

Hi all, we're sending an update and travel report via Sharyn. Even though we won't be able to join you this time we're still hoping to make it to some future meetings. We're working on a trip for August 2016 to Amsterdam, staying in a canal house for 10 days, then heading to Bodensee for 3 weeks. Love your meet ups!

I'll find a spot by BB and B and gimp on over!
Betty is planning to come as well, I think.
Looking forward to seeing everyone ...

Sharyn, I'll double-check on our reserved table then I'll go out to closest parking and do my best! Oh, and I just remembered, they do have valet parking... right by Starbucks/Miette Bakery... fairly close. Better than BB!

I don't live in San Fran Area, but I visited my relatives there in June, 2013 and met up with cousins that I have not seen in years and years. we met at the Marin Brewing company for dinner and lots of laughs. They also bought us one of their glasses and t-shirt. Love that place. My Facebook page pic is of our reunion. Happy travels and fun on your meeting.

Just to let people know, we won't be having a December meeting... We all agreed we have a lot going on in December so we'll look forward to seeing everyone January 9th! Happy Holidays!

Hi Susan. Just read the posts and it looks like the travel group is going strong. Unfortunately my situation has not changed - since I'm the "chicken" driver, I won't be joining you, but...the good news...we are keeping on traveling. Got back in September from England (again). Had my trip all reserved (airline tickets and all hotels booked) for Amsterdam and Belgium and after the Paris shootings I caved. Cancelled, and we go to England again in May. Different areas in the U.K. - though we've been 24 times (with this trip) we always go to new spots. So I hope you're traveling too. I remember how much you love Paris.
