Sacramento Virtual (?) Travel Meeting - Saturday Oct. 17th CANCELLED

*THE OCTOBER VIRTUAL MEETING HAS BEEN CANCELLED *

Hey everyone, are you tired of not going anywhere? Do you miss planning and going on trips?
This is the time to talk about travel dreams, plans, memories, etc. Sadly it’s going to be virtual meetings for us for who knows how long. Let’s look at the bright side. We don’t have to drive anywhere and pants are optional.

I’ll send the Zoom link out. If I've forgotten anyone, please let me know.

If anyone can offer an alternative to the Zoom meeting we can consider other options, weather and air quality dependent.

Kinda getting used to Zoom meetings. Except that I have to make the sandwich myself.

On the plus side, this month we have two meetings on the same day (Sacramento and Orinda) and can get between them in seconds rather than hours.

No worries about there not being enough room at the meeting. I haven’t gotten around to setting it up yet. We are out of town for the week exploring Gold Rush country. It’s so close to home I’m watching the news on our Sacramento local station right now. I don’t know why it’s taken us so long to spend time in this area. Maybe Covid is forcing us to stick closer to home. We should be in Bruges right now.

Thank you for the invite Andrea. Oct 17th is my birthday and we’ll be in Carmel from the 15th to the 18th so i won’t be able to join. This will be a much needed mini-vaca and i’m looking forward to it... so is Winnie!

Everything is fine. We have been able to plan a small in person meeting in someone’s backyard where it will be easy to maintain social distancing. We will be wearing masks as well. This is probably the last opportunity to meet outdoors for a very long time. We haven’t had an in person meeting since February.

Gee thanks Lauri. It’s supposed to be only 91 degrees today. No big deal. 🥵

It looks like it will be 7 of us at the meeting. The others can’t physically make it and most weren’t going to be able to attend the virtual meeting. We’ll miss all of you!

It would be illegal here as we are under the "Rule of 6" in some parts of the country and in others people who are not in the same household are not allowed to meet at all...
