Sacramento Travel Meeting -Saturday May 21st @10:00 a.m.

It's that time again to meet with fellow travelers to talk about --- travel!!

As always, we meet the 3rd Saturday of the month at 10:00 a.m.

Location-
Panera Bread 3571 North Freeway Blvd. Sacramento. This is off I-80, using the Truxel Rd. exit.

Everyone who wants to discuss their upcoming trips, reminisce about past trips, or just hang out and talk about travel is welcome.

Who's planning to be there? Everyone is welcome, but it's a good to let us know. It gives us an idea of how many people we need to have seating for.

We will be with you in spirit, although our bodies will be in Prague, or given the time difference, on the train to Berlin.

Jim and I will also be absent. I will be traveling from Varenna to Milan on the 21st to fly out the 22nd. Jim will be flying to Prague to meet me there.

I fully expect comments from Eileen and/or David, making remarks about how they will talk about me since I'm gone. I'm just going to say that they were supposed to be here in Italy too. :-P

Lauri, it was fun seeing you and Ed in Venice! Enjoy the rest of your trip!!

Andrea, you're on vacation. You're not supposed to worry about the forum while on vacation ;-) But thanks for saving me the trouble of copying-and-pasting the specifics from an old meeting thread.

Yep, been looking forward to this month's meeting for a while now LOL! The topic will be 'talking about Andrea, Ed, and Lauri', among other things ;-)

I'll be there...OH - anybody interested in preordering a soufflé let me know ASAP! I'll get in touch with those who don't usually check in here...All varieties aren't listed on their menu, but you can (apparently) customize them. We shall see...

Forgot to add that of course you may preorder your own food :-) You can even order it before leaving home on Saturday morning. You may need the Panera app, though.

No worries. Since I posted the meeting thread I can see the replies in my email. I won't even have to go on the forum to know if you're talking about me. ;-)

Eileen only says the nicest things about you, Andrea, (Eileen, is the check in the mail?) but Susan and Betty and I are getting together tomorrow night and all bets are off ...

Susan, Betty and Sharyn -- when you get together to discuss travel (and talk about Andrea), if my name comes up please remember two words: brownies and baklava. See you on June 11, and the Sacramento group in July.

Sharyn, Betty, Teresa and I had a great time at dinner last night talking all about you guys... and how wonderful you all are! For real.

At our fun dinner at a local French bistro -- no friendships were harmed in the consumption of our meal!
Looking forward to seeing you all soon!

Had a most delicious and delightful dinner with Andrea and Marie in Siena the other night. (Where's my €60 for not repeating who all you talked about, Andrea?) oh and Doug was there too. He' s expecting €80 to not tell all, especially about your table dancing, Andrea. Marie is quite talented too!

Darcy, Darcy, Darcy, I'm so disappointed. Whatever happened to 'What happens Siena stays in Siena'? FYI, I've spent your euros on wine. You're welcome.

Whoops! Must have had too much wine in honor of Eileen; sorry about blabbing, Andrea and Marie! It was a lovely evening though!

Bringing a friend who is headed to France next month. Traveling from Nice to Paris via Avignon, Lyon, Arles, etc.

First time in France. Please bring any helpful info you might have.

Thanks!

Sorry I've been away; I've been recovering from kidney surgery. After much consideration, I decided that selling a kidney was the only way to make the sort of quick cash necessary to pay the $20 here, and $40 there, that I have (apparently) committed to.

I hope $10s and $20s are okay...

Rob and Warren, see you Sat!

Well, as long as Eileen's handing out tens and twenties, guess I'll be there. :)

Look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!

Now if Eileen were handing 10 or 20 Euros, I'd be there ...
But I can't make it this time.
Enjoy the payouts and I'll see you all next month.

Have a great meeting. I'll be in Milan killing time until my flight to Prague Sunday morning. I think we will take the HOHO to see the city while we are there.

And while Andrea is preparing to fly to Prague, we're getting the train from Prague to Berlin. Ships that pass in the night!
Prague recommendations: Mucha museum and Slav Epic, both on the 24 tram line. Jerusalem Synagogue.

Couldn't make it today but Sharyn, Betty and I will be there in June!
