Sacramento Travel Meeting - Saturday May 16th @ 10:00 a.m.

It's that time again to meet with fellow travelers to talk about --- travel!!

As always, we meet the 3rd Saturday of the month at 10:00 a.m.

Location-
Panera Bread 3571 North Freeway Blvd. Sacramento. This is off I-80, using the Truxel Rd. exit.

Everyone who wants to discuss their upcoming trips, reminisce about past trips, or just hang out and talk about travel is welcome.

Who's planning to be there? Everyone is welcome, but it's a good idea to let us know. It gives us an idea of how many people we need to have seating for.

...and too much time on the road, Lauri! I look forward to seeing you and Ed on your turf on the 9th, for a change.

I'll be there, with a love that will shelter you...

Or for the Jackson 5 fans, where there is love (and coffee and soufflés), I'll be there...

Just look over your shoulder, Honey - ooooh!

They really shouldn't sell iPads to just anyone. Obviously.

Susan, we enjoyed our journey to Marin County for the SF Bay Area meeting. We will try to do it again next month.

Is anyone else coming to the Sacramento meeting?

Hi, all,
I will be attending for the first time and am really looking forward to it. Going on my first RS tour in September and hoping to get some pointers!

Matt (and wife) & judys, I look forward to seeing you there.

For any first timers, we sit at the large table in the middle of the room. If by chance it's not available we should be in a space with a lot of tables pushed together. Look for a Rick Steves book on the table.

Mike, I'm sorry to hear you can't make it. Have fun with your cooking class. Where are you taking the class? I'd like a 'trip report' about that ! Who else is coming??

I have to miss this one, but it sure was nice to see some of you in Marin last week!
I think I can catch you all again in July.
Have fun tomorrow!

David, I know I had said before that I didn't think we would be interested/able to do the tour, but that may have changed. A friend wants to do a trip to Europe with me, but I'd like to do something with her that would enable Jim to meet up with me afterwards. At this time he can't take more than 2 weeks or so off. I'm thinking Marie and I could do the tour, then Jim could join us in Sorrento. Hopefully we can talk about it at the meeting.

See everyone tomorrow!

David, I hate to quibble, but you arrived late to the meeting. So Eileen & Kitty had a 12 hour meeting. Yours was less than 10 hours. :-p

I agree that Kitty has a fantastic backyard to hang out in. But now the 3 of you have made the plans for next years trip without the rest of us that are going. WTH??

Hey, if some of you flake out after 3-5 hours, those of us more committed have to pick up the slack. And the wine glasses; RS Tours don't want lightweights on their wine tours tours.

'But I had to let the dog out/my brother had car trouble'...Yada yada...... ;-) Hey - you're committed to the tour, or you're not. We'll send out your marching orders, aka itinerary, the bus seating chart, etc., after it's been typed up.

You know I was just giving you guys a hard time. I'll be back to having more freedom once I'm in my permanent residence. Until then, my old dog can hold it for just so long. Not to mention my brother's car trouble was...wait for it...he was out of gas! We discovered that after waiting for the tow truck for 2 hours. I wasted one of my AAA calls for that? What's a sister to do...

I'll be meeting with my friend Marie in a couple of weeks, but it looks like she's on board with going on the tour with me. Then Jim would meet me/us after the tour. Where? Milan? Naples? We will have to figure that out.

I should be at next month's meeting. It's highly unlikely that the house will be ready to move into that early. David, since Eileen and Kitty will be off to the ranch and missing that meeting, maybe you can fill me in.

I've heard about Kitty's infamous back yard (memorialized by Eileen's dish towel). Rumor is the flower beds are lined with Prosecco corks and the riddling rack is full...
After hours at Panera with a sore bum looming, it was only right to relocate.
Maybe I'll see if Kitty needs a roommate in Lucca. That is, unless she snores! ; )
It was a fun evening with the Tipsy Troika! Thanks for bringing all the munchies, David. Now you are assigned to picnic detail in Padua!

I'm guessing that where/when/how to meet up with Jim will be our biggest challenge. Luckily there is time to figure it out!!

Kat, I'm positive you would enjoy Kitty's backyard and feel right at home there. :-)
