Sacramento Travel Meeting - Saturday 8/15 @ 10:00 a.m.

It's that time again to meet with fellow travelers to talk about --- travel!!

As always, we meet the 3rd Saturday of the month at 10:00 a.m.

Location-
Panera Bread 3571 North Freeway Blvd. Sacramento. This is off I-80, using the Truxel Rd. exit.

Everyone who wants to discuss their upcoming trips, reminisce about past trips, or just hang out and talk about travel is welcome.

Who's planning to be there? Everyone is welcome, but it's a good idea to let us know. It gives us an idea of how many people we need to have seating for.

It took a lot of self- control, but this time we are NOT the first to say ... we'll be there ! (Subject, of course, to the vagaries of the Volvo.)

The good news is that Jim and I will be going to the Marin Co. meeting this Saturday with Eileen, Kitty and possibly David. I'm looking forward to attending their first anniversary meeting. It's only fitting, since Eileen and I went to their inaugural meeting.

The bad news, depending on who you ask - I found out today I have to make a trip to LA to help an elderly relative move to senior housing. The only time to do it coincides with our meeting. Jim will be at work, so he can't make it either. I'm sure the rest of you can hold down the fort. Who plans to arrive early to secure the table?

I'll volunteer to be there early. For shizzle. I can unscrew all of the glaringly bright light bulbs hanging over 'our' table... ;-)

I will try to join you all. Have been 2-3 times in the past. I will bring pics of recent Croatia/Slovenia trip but really need help planning next years Netherlands/Belgium trip. If you have advice, please let me know.

Eileen thinks that unscrewing the light bulbs will conceal the flasks of limoncello in her pockets, but we know better.

Big airfare war to Europe now. From $650rt from SMF to many places in Europe. All airlines from now thru mid March.

Great meeting, even without Andrea and Jim -- but after 2-1/2 hours on the road we're glad to be back to nature's air-conditioning. See you all next month!
