Sacramento Travel Meeting - Saturday 12/17 @ 10 a.m.

It's that time again to meet with fellow travelers to talk about --- travel!!

As always, we meet the 3rd Saturday of the month at 10:00 a.m.

Location - Panera Bread, 3571 North Freeway Blvd, Sacramento. This is off I-80, using the Truxel Rd. exit.

Everyone who wants to discuss their upcoming trips, reminisce about past trips, or just hang out and talk about travel is welcome.

Who's planning to be there? Everyone is welcome, but it's good to let us know. It gives us an idea of how many people we need to have seating for.

For once, we will be in the country on the third Saturday and NOT on the road to Sacramento -- my baby girl is in town for the weekend so we are spending as much time with her as possible. See you in January and happy holidays to all!

Ya know - if you're not there, we talk about you ;-)

So in that spirit, I'll definitely be there!

I'm planning to come.
I'll have some specific questions about my upcoming Italy trip. (Any of you been to Volterra without a car?)

I dunno. Depends if I get my Christmas checklist finished. Let's see: Eileen, lump of coal ✅

Andrea, will you be here...or in NYC eating cheesecake?

Thanks Susan!

Kat, we get home Friday night. Just in time for the meeting. :-)

SharYn, we drove to Volterra. I'm sure there must be public transportation though. I'm thinking there was a train station near where we parked, but it was 2010 so I may be misremembered. If no train, a bus must surely go there.

SharYn, bring roller blades and you'll be fine. No waiting for bus or train.

Andrea and Susan -- thanks for the good info/advice.
;-)
I think Volterra only has a bus stop.
I wouldn't survive on roller blades ... maybe I could find a free bike ...

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone. That is, if we don't get stuck in bad weather while changing planes in Chicago. Fingers crossed.

Right back at you Darcy!

Matt, we went to Lombardi's this afternoon. Thank you so much for the recommendation. The pizza was delicious. Dare I say it was better than Grimaldi's. Yes, I said it! We are off in a few minutes to see The Front Page on Broadway. One observation about NYC - everything is more expensive here than it is in Paris.

...and for that reason I think we should go back to Paris, Andrea and Jim! Pam, what about you?

Thanks, David.
I'm sorry that you are missing the meeting. I'd like to talk with you more about Volterra. Hopefully in January.
Looking forward to seeing the rest of you tomorrow.
