Sacramento Travel Meeting- Sat. 7/15 @ 10:00

I hope you can join us for our travel group meeting. We always meet on the 3rd Saturday of the month at 10:00 a.m.
Since our first meeting in July 2010 our group has evolved, but meetings are always fun and informative.

Panera Bread
3571 North Freeway Blvd, Sacramento
This is off I-80, using the Truxel Rd. exit.

Everyone is welcome. It would be appreciated if you could reply to this post or otherwise let me know that you will be there as it gives us an idea of how many people we need to have seating for. You can find us by looking for the Rick Steves books on the table.

Unfortunately we are going to miss the meeting this month because we will be in Washington, but I look forward to catching up next month.

Okay, next question. Since we're going to be on fire that day (110 F in Roseville), who is going to set up the large tent in the Panera parking lot to cover my car? Or, who is going to get into my not-covered, flaming-charcoal-briquet of a car and drive it around and around the parking lot with the windows down and the A/C on until it cools off enough for me to drive it home? Those seats absorb a lot of heat. Oooh! I’ll bring some bagged ice (that I’ve placed inside a plastic tub) and set it on my car seat. Maybe I’ll bring it inside for the first couple of hours, then take it to my car……This may be a rare day that sees me leave early 8^0

Eileen, if it makes you feel any better, after several changes to our trip it turns out I’m going to Houston on Thursday for 4 nights. 🥵 Humidity and heat on steroids. Flying round trip from Seattle. Lucky Jim is staying in Washington.

Missing July but hoping for the August meeting. And we’ve been thinking it’s been hot 🥵 where we are with temperatures in the low 90s. It’s got to be the dreaded humidity.
