Sacramento Travel Group Meeting - Saturday March 18 @ 10 am

It’s almost time for our March meeting. The meetings are always on the 3rd Saturday of every month at 10:00 a.m.

Location:

Panera Bread
3571 North Freeway Blvd, Sacramento
This is off I-80, using the Truxel Rd. exit.

Everyone is welcome. If you are coming it would be appreciated if you reply to this post or otherwise let me know that you will be there. It gives us an idea of how many people we need to have seating for.

You can find us by looking for the Rick Steves books on the table.

Unfortunately, we are hosting a bridal shower that day so we’ll miss out! I doubt we could get everyone to agree to a new venue!

One seat, please, for the 18th - providing the Ark can navigate I-80. :)

We hope we will have made it to SoCal by then, weather and roads permitting, but have the April meeting on our calendar!

We can give a trip report in April to see if our idea that the San Jacinto Mountain Range can work as a rain shield. We know that all the mountain ranges down there will be covered with snow but we’re hoping for some early spring wildflowers and sun. If we can just get through one more atmospheric river to get there…

It turns out we won’t be at the meeting. We are driving up to Washington tomorrow, taking advantage of a break in the weather, to wait for our grandson’s arrival. I hope someone doesn’t mind getting there early and setting up the table. Don’t forget a Rick Steves book to put on the table in case some new shows up. Have fun!

No worries, Andrea. I'll plan to get there early and snag tables.

Safe travels heading up I-5, and congratulations to you and the family!

Maybe you’ll see my brother and sister-in-law as they drive back up to Oregon after their 2 weeks in PS. I can understand your wanting to make a break for it. It took them 3 days to drive south with the previous storms. Safe travels to a fabulous family event.

Thanks Matt & Mona. It will be about a 12 hour travel day, but the sooner we get there the better.

I wonder how far Rob had to dig to find that old thread. 😆

The quality of my posting is going dowhill due to my current trip planning.

We made it to our destination yesterday in 13 hours. The good news is Lake Shasta has a lot more water than it did last July when we drove past and Mt. Shasta has a ton of snow.

Have fun Saturday. We will miss you guys.

Hello,
Thank you for such a welcoming and delightful gathering!

I really enjoyed meeting you and appreciate all your words of wisdom as I'm planning
my return to France in July after many years.

Looking forward to our next rendez-vous.
Take care!
Judy and Doc
