Sacramento Travel Meeting is May 18th

Do you enjoy talking about travel? Are you planning a trip? Maybe you just returned from one? Come join us!

We meet on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m.

You can find us at Panera Bread, 3571 North Freeway Blvd, Sacramento. This location is off I-80, using the Truxel Rd. exit.

Anyone wanting to discuss their upcoming trips, reminisce about past trips, or just hang out and talk about travel is welcome.

Will you be there? Everyone is welcome, but it's helpful to know who is coming. It gives us an idea of how many people we need to have seating for.

Look for the Rick Steves books on the table.

Missing this month's get together, as we'll be away at our daughter's college graduation on the Eighteenth. Looking ahead, we're also out of town the 3rd-Sat in June, over Father's Day Weekend.

Best wishes for everyone's Memorial Day and Fourth of July, see you shortly thereafter!

Have fun everyone. We will be out of town next weekend.

Side note: Anyone watching the Amgen Tour of California in their neighborhood on Sunday afternoon? Our granddaughter has a race in Sonoma in the AM but we should be home in time to see the pros race near our house in the afternoon. If you can’t go to France in July this is the next best thing this month.

We're a definite ... maybe. Just back from France, planning December/ January trip.
We will miss you all in June when we're up at family camp in Pinecrest. But July for sure !!

My dilemma is that I have three things at the same time that day. The meeting, a family birthday party for a 2-year-old in the Sacramento area, and a family thing in the Bay Area. And the winner is...I have to go to the Bay Area. The 2-year-old birthday girl won't miss me. Jim will be at the meeting.

Won't be able to make it this month, going to nephew grad party instead, but hope to be there in June.

Mona, Jim did go to last months meeting. We couldn't stay as long as usual because of the dog. He will have the same situation this month. He's not going out of town with me because we can't both be gone so long,

I’ll be there! Now I’ve made everyone’s day... ;-)

We’ll miss you, Andrea! (even if Jim IS our favorite)

Our "maybe" just changed to a "not this month" -- doubt that anyone wants to hear (of be exposed to) our coughs. Mine is bad enough that I'm on antibiotics, Ed not yet but not in shape for a 90-mile drive.
See you in July !!

So many people busy or sick. Lauri, I hope you and Ed feel better soon. I wish I wasn't going to miss the meeting, but hopefully I'll be there in June. I'm leaving on Memorial Day to fly to Kansas. I'm spending 11 days there and will try to get things situated to move my uncle here. I've been touring assisted living/memory care places all day. I'm flying home from Kansas, and will have to return to get my uncle and a uhaul to transport his stuff. I'm going to try to work it around the meeting. Yes, I need to be cloned.

Those who will be there tomorrow...enjoy!

Thanks Susan, but I confess that I do have an ulterior motive. Besides wanting a safe environment for my uncle, I'm tired of going back and forth to Kansas. After my upcoming trip (#4 in 6 months) I'll have to go back in mid-June to get him and bring him back to CA. I'll have another trip or more to get his house ready to sell. Having him here and not having to go back and forth is going to be so much better.

That’s totally reasonable, and he’ll be so much better off.
