Sacramento Travel Meeting --- August 17 (Saturday @ 10:00)

Do you like to talk about travel? Are you planning a trip or have you just returned from a trip and want to talk about it? Maybe you're just obsessed about traveling? Come join us!

We meet on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m., always at the same location.

You can find us at Panera Bread, 3571 North Freeway Blvd, Sacramento. This is off I-80, using the Truxel Rd. exit.

Anyone wanting to come and talk about travel is welcome. If you need help planning a trip, we have a well traveled group of people who are happy to give advice.

Who plans to come? Everyone is welcome, but it's helpful to know who will be there. It gives us an idea of how many people we need to have seating for.

If this is your first time, you can find us by looking for the Rick Steves books on the table

Count me in, finally a third-Saturday (month) without something or other taking us out of town. Look forward to catching up!

My sister and I, along with a friend from Sacramento, are hoping to attend. The 3 of us are traveling to France and Italy in October! So, barring any unforeseen issues, we will be there. I have attended the SF group meetings in the past a few times, but it has been so hard to free up a Saturday! I am looking forward to getting suggestions for our trip!

I should be coming. It will be great to see you guys one week before our trip. Just booked a Prague walking tour with Jason of Living Prague tours, got all my train tickets (except the locals), have just one more night to book, getting excited.

We were planning on making it but now it’s looking like we won’t. I’m bummed! We have so much to say and thousands of photos to share :-) Ireland was amazing! Hopefully next month.

Rob, I'm so excited for you finally leaving on your long awaited trip!

I would love to hear about everyone's travels, but sadly we won't be there this month. This has been a very busy summer and sometimes life just gets in the way. Next month the meeting falls on our anniversary (34 years!!), but we will definitely be there.

FYI I just saw on the news that there will be some road closures around I-80 & I-5. Ramps from northbound I-5 to eastbound I-80 will be shutdown. You can get around it via Arena Blvd. Exit there and loop back around. Also eastbound I-80 to northbound I-5 will be closed. You can continue to Truxel Rd. and loop around there. Hopefully this won't adversely impact anyone.

Note for anyone coming up I-5 North. The I-80 ramps in that direction will be closed this weekend. so go one exit north to Arena Blvd, then either take Arena to Truxel or loop back to I-5 South, where the I-80 ramps are open.

I completely forgot to write last night that I’ll miss today’s meeting, too! We leave for Hawaii early Sunday morning, and a couple of things popped up on my radar screen yesterday that I need to take care of. I realized I was feeling really stressed about taking so much time from my day to make it to Panera. I’ve never voluntarily missed a Panera meeting, but it is what it is. See y’all in September!

Just think how much quieter it will be today ;-)

Eileen the 18 people at the meeting managed to make enough noise to cover your absence. ALOHA!
