Sacramento Travel Group Meeting - 4/21 @ 10:00 a.m.

It's that time again to meet with fellow travelers to talk about --- travel!

As always, we meet the 3rd Saturday of the month at 10:00 a.m.

Location - Panera Bread, 3571 North Freeway Blvd, Sacramento. This is off I-80, using the Truxel Rd. exit.

Everyone who wants to discuss their upcoming trips, reminisce about past trips, or just hang out and talk about travel is welcome.

Who's planning to be there? Everyone is welcome, but it's good to let us know. It gives us an idea of how many people we need to have seating for.

If it's your first time, look for the Rick Steves books on the table.

We will be there -- with our packed bags waiting at home for our Sunday morning departure! (Or our half-packed bags waiting for the final laundry load.) After that, adieu und auf wiedersehen until the July meeting.

6/21?!? LOL! I’ll be there in June, too ;-)

I’ll RSVP For David; he’ll be there.

Will try to be there on the 21st. We're attending a late-night event the evening before, so I'll need everyone to speak slowly and quietly, and stand clear of the coffee line. :)

Eileen, oops. I fixed it. What was I thinking? I won't be there in June. I'll be in Paris. Somebody has to be!

Matt, we will do our best to keep it down for you. :-)

Susan, I agree that June 21 and any other day is a good day to be in Paris!

I went to the San Francisco Travel Group meeting yesterday. It was a lot of fun and very informative. I hope some Bay Area peeps will make it to our meeting.

We won't make it on the 21st as we'll be watching the tulip "cars" arrive in Haarlem that day. Hopefully we'll see many of you in May.

Oh man! We will be out of town! Darn. I forgot to think about the meeting date when we made plans. But, just think about us in wine country on a beautiful weekend ;-)

Sorry Susan (& Monte), our meetings are supposed to be a priority. It should be a permanent thing on your calendar. Next month it will be something else. Probably sailing. Don't make me come to your house and drag you to the meetings. You know I'll do it. :-) Have fun and be assured we will be talking about you.

Mona, I wish I could be there watching the tulips cars with you. I'm so looking forward to hearing about your trip.

I should be there. Looks like I won't be there for the June meeting as we will be on the east coast late June/early July.

A friend in Colorado is requesting hotels (not too pricey) in Paris. I know this is a 2nd home for some of you.

I have held off replying due to uncertainty about my schedule. Even now, the best I can say is that I am almost certain I'm not working Saturday. I would like to attend my first meeting this month, though. I think I will be there.

kat, my favorites are: Hotel de Lutèce, Hotel St Louis en l’Isle, Hotel des Deux Iles, Hotel Jeanne d’Arc, Hotel du Pantheon, Hotel des Grands Hommes, Hotel St Jacques... and a good, budget one that I know but haven’t stayed at (Sharyn has) is Hotel Diana.

kat, another place for your friend to consider is Hotel Prince Albert Louvre. I found it while looking for a place in June. It's moderately priced and has good reviews.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow. For anyone new, we try to sit at the large table in the middle of the room. You will see a Rick Steves book on the table.
